I have them, they are a waste of money unless you can pick them up used cheap. You can only see them from straight on and if you have bigger tips like me you see even less of them.

I have them. They were an extra I had the dealer throw in. I'm glad I didn't have to pay full price for them as they are really hard to see unless you're really looking for them.

I just took a couple pictures for you. Granted the sun is not out today (big surprise) it really doesn't help much. And my car is dirty. And my driveway needs to be pressure washed extremely badly... damn trees.

Wow. If I didn't know speifically that you had them installed, I would have never noticed them at all. I don't think I will be buying them. At least not at full price. Thanks for posting pics !

They keep my bumper from melting. Very useful.

Actually, you just spray them with wheel cleaner and hose them off.

Uh, no. Its perfectly safe.
I've been using Meguiars wheel cleaners for the better part of 20 years.

I have the RB exhaust, which is a little larger diameter, so I got them to help
protect the bumper from heat damage.

I wanted to get those when I picked up the car and after seeing pics I'm glad I didn't. With the accents there's just WAY too much bling going on there. The only thing that might be helpful is if you have bigger exhaust tips, they could protect from the heat. I saw part of someone's bumper melt one time at autocross because the greddy tip somehow contacted the plastic around it, pretty nasty.

Absolutely serious.
No CAT + turbo = hotter-than-stock exhaust gas.
Most folks will see EGTs around 1400°F at the manifold, but by the time it gets to the tail pipe, its only a few hundred after passing through the CAT.
My outlet temps are probably closer to 600°F.

The rubber trim around my finishers is starting to fail from the heat. There is no way the polypropylene exhaust surround would like those kinds of temps.
