View Full Version : BAD GUY: deathwish
cannondalerider 02-23-2007, 12:39 PM I responded to this guy's thread about buying his rims, paid him through Paypal and never got them. I waited three weeks with no communication back from him and filed a dispute through Paypal. He straight-up lied to them saying I bought an electronic service via his website (ultimategamingservers.com). They believed his lies and sided with him. I'm thinking about flying out to Florida, where he lives, and taking the damn rims I paid for. Sounds fair to me. Anyways, he's a jackass and you shouldn't do business with him. I am being very nice by not posting his name (VERY NICE).
Just a note to anyone using Paypal: Make sure your seller sends you a detailed invoice stating EXACTLY what is being sold!
Jedi54 02-23-2007, 12:56 PM ouch!
Got a link for the thread? What's wrong with posting his name? How much $$$ did you send him?
Have you tried contacting your bank and filing a Reg. E claim?
smrx8 02-23-2007, 01:00 PM sucks
cannondalerider 02-23-2007, 01:03 PM the thread no longer exists!? here is the link, I hadn't tried it in over a month, but did send it with other documentation to paypal, maybe that's why they didn't agree with me: http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?p=1661450 (doesn't work) I paid 430-ish for two rims after shipping and the like. I tried getting my $ back from paypal, but they said no, so I called Amex a few minutes ago, but it will take 6-8 weeks to make a decision. I could be satisfied in 6-8 hours though if I caught the next flight outta AZ.
Elara 02-26-2007, 08:58 AM Hmm. The link is working for me. Did you print all that out and send it to Paypal? Sometimes sending physical evidence works better than just sending links.
RedSheDevil 02-26-2007, 02:51 PM linky no worky for me ... "Invalid Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the webmaster"
mebbe it's your special powers that get it to work elara?
Mazdaspeed RX8 ver2 02-26-2007, 03:30 PM i get the same thing, webiste doesnt work... but yeah, that sucks... i really do sympathize for you and i hope everything works out later on.
CTrx8 02-26-2007, 03:31 PM possibly a deleted thread by the OP therefore users wouldn't be able to view but admins still would? could be way off but thought i'd throw that out there as a possibility.
toxin440 03-02-2007, 12:50 AM wow man - nothing worse then a shit scammer on the forums here. If you fly out there I would suggest going armed just in case.
Another suggestion is that if you do make the trip out to his place - get creative, dont just barge up to his house banging loud and screaming where are my rims, first confirm that this is indeed his house by some creative social engineering, say for example pretending to be a surveyor or utility person to make sure the person answering the door is your man. Present a calm argument and state that you are simply not going to go away, take special note to never threaten him directly as this can be used against you later, this opens the possibility of if you do confront him face to have, have a hidden voice activated tape recorder going for proof of what really happened in case it ever winds up in front of a judge.
CTrx8 03-02-2007, 04:34 PM let's all get a more rational head on here. going to another's house to demand it is just a bad idea. and as for recording a conversation, it will almost never be admissible in a court of law. and pretending to be someone that you are not is just as bad an idea as going there in the first place. i think the OP was just kidding about flying down there so let's not start talking about how he should do it.
toxin440 03-02-2007, 07:54 PM well I'm not sure on what the law is in situations like this - however repo men are 100% legal.
This is just a case of reverse repo (if that makes sense).
I would say the most logical and sane thing to do is alert the local authorities in YOUR area and in this guys area if you have his address. See what happens when a few cops show up on this guys doorstep.
auzoom 03-02-2007, 08:53 PM I would be asking where the hell my service to ultimategamingservers.com is. Also ask for evendince that an advertised service for that price exists and if not, ask for documented proof that you asked for that non standard service.

I usually write down in the comment box what I'm paying for, sounds like you didn't do this
the admin can revive the thread if the guy deleted it to cover his tracks, you need to post the username
TeamRX8 03-02-2007, 10:19 PM Hmm. The link is working for me. Did you print all that out and send it to Paypal? Sometimes sending physical evidence works better than just sending links.
because you're an Admin, he obviously deleted it to cover his tracks, none of us regular schmoes can see it, he needs help retreiving it for the Paypal dispute
RotaryP7 03-03-2007, 11:57 AM I hate people like this..
CTrx8 03-03-2007, 01:05 PM i suppose he had a very appropriate screen name though.
RotaryP7 03-03-2007, 01:45 PM If anyone wants to see how he looks like or what he drives..
Heres the thread he made.. http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=103001
Groundrush 03-03-2007, 04:03 PM Scumbag criminal. Karma...what goes around, comes around. Sooner or later, he'll wind up getting raped in prison. You can at least smile about that...
4 years to Supercharge 04-08-2007, 01:49 AM Putting the item purchased in the comments field is a good practice. On a check it is considered a legal contract and should hold up in small claims court if they cash it. Then they accepted the terms.
bch3779 04-08-2007, 03:03 AM That kid looks like a tool. Must be the in thing now to wear your cell phone right above your $%#@.
swoope 04-08-2007, 04:32 AM wow,

Mazurfer 04-08-2007, 09:34 AM I'll be on the lookout for him! Don't get to Orlando much, but he probably runs over to the beach ocassionally. He better hope I don't ever see him.
:Kill1:
mysql101 04-08-2007, 09:36 AM if you're that pissed off, take him to small claims court.
chickenwafer 04-25-2007, 02:19 PM guy looks like a douche bag. And he's 17. I bet him daddy bought him his car and he's ungratful and doesn't even have a job except for scamming
