Heard about that on Speed.. they ended up having to use their "Mule" motor.. but as they said its the first time they are running the car in a race. Awsome photo's man..!

Thanks Im not a photoghapher...but I try to be. The crazy thing was the security at daytona speedway. My friend and I strolled past sleeping security guards with beers in our hands and we ended up on pit lane.. :lol2:

What was the outcome of the race? I understand that 4 Rx8's raced,where they sponsored by Mazda? Good pics!

SpeedSource #70 placed 5th and #69 placed 7th. Goldin and Team Spencer are listed as 37th and 41st respectively.

Goldin Brothers were working on the transmission when they were in the garage. Again I don't know the final reason for their withdraw from the race.
Goldin Brothers developed their car first before the Mazdaspeed cars (as used by Team Spencer & Speedsource) came out. I believe the Mazdaspeed cars use a transaxle, whereas the Goldin Brothers car uses a conventional street transmission.

I was talking to the Goldin Bros about their issues. They went through 2 transmissions, both of which were fixed. Later on, they had a throttle linkage issue that they had to go to the garage for. Then, they didn't want to go back out after that. They were great guys and very friendly. I didn't get a chance to talk to Team Spencer.
