Was browsing through ebay today and came across this: 04 05 06 Mazda RX-8 Xenon HID Foglights H11 kit


Anybody seen this or have them?

 

I installed the bulbs only.

 

If you did that then you didn't use the kit he just showed or a true HID kit. The stock fog lights are regular halogen bulbs, you can't just throw REAL HID bulbs in there. They will not work. You must've used blue-colored halogens.

 

Actually, you can just throw those in. I did the h7 upgrade with mine and it worked fine, since you are running a lower wattage system, so no melting of wires and housing. Only thing will be where to mount the transformer !

 

Well that's what I'm talking about, you can't just install the bulbs themselves, you have to install the transformers with them.

 

Mount the transformers in front of the oil coolers....

kidding....

But really these would be cool, but pricey....
