View Full Version : Installing Fender Strakes? KC_RX-8 09-03-2003, 08:12 PM Has anyone installed the Fender Strakes themselves? If so, How does the Fender pop out? Does the Strakes come with instructions? I'm going in to pick up the Strakes and the Exhaust Finishers tomorrow. Any comments are welcome! :D mikeb 09-03-2003, 08:14 PM do a search for both strakes come with instructions enjoy your new mods Wing 09-03-2003, 08:45 PM I haven't installed them (and haven't bought them yet) but the plastic vent cover comes out easy enought, just pop out 3 or 4 clips from under the wheel well. The pull the plastic back and stick your hand in, feel on the sides of the vents there is little clips, just squeeze them together and they pop out easy enough. Best to pop these out before waxing :D safer. I'm thinking of getting the strakes, I wonder if they would best to leave off in the winter though, wouldn't want salt building up there.
