View Full Version : ZO6 burned by aftermarket exhaust bascho 11-03-2006, 08:17 AM http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=135291 Shoafb 11-03-2006, 08:24 AM Wow! how do you botch an exhaust job that bad? Feras 11-03-2006, 08:28 AM he'll prolly get a lot more than the value of the car when he sues for the botched job, prolly will go for a porsche this time. HolyCross05 11-03-2006, 08:28 AM " He said he paid over $90K for the car. I heard these Z06's were going for more than list, but DAMN! $90K? He also said the car has had nothing but problems and was always in the shop." Ouch....I hope the insurance company or the dealer that f'ed up the exhaust job gives him a new Z06 and free service for life. strokercharged95gt 11-03-2006, 09:01 AM 90k is still a bargain for the car you get with the Z06... The slow ass NSX is 90k (worst car for the value ratio ever). bascho 11-03-2006, 09:18 AM 90k is still a bargain for the car you get with the Z06... Do you visit mustangforums.com or modularfords.com? DailyDriver2k5 11-03-2006, 09:25 AM I remember in my old neiborhood back in 94', a doctor had 3rd gen RX-7 , a yellow one, well one day after he came home and parked it, poor car almost burned his house down to the ground. Man was he pissed! Jedi54 11-03-2006, 11:42 AM OH SHIT! that's pretty painful to look at. HAHAHAHA, poor goodyear guys probably lost a TON of business that day! Imagine this: "hmm, I think I'll swing by goodyear to look at tires or get an oil change" - You pull up to good year "Holy SHIT!! They blew up a freakin' Vette!!" You proceed to sqeal the tires and get your car to safety. strokercharged95gt 11-03-2006, 12:07 PM I agree that the ZO6 is a deal at $90K for what you get. How is your car coming along? Put some 295/35/18's KDW2's on the back and I can suprising hold the road "pretty well" under acceleration. Went out hunting for some races a few nights ago but no one would bite. Couldn't even get a race with "corvette guy" :cwm27: I am on over at corral.net I will put some more pics up once I get it cleaned up and in some better light. Detrich 11-03-2006, 12:18 PM holy crap! that's just wrong... shaunv74 11-03-2006, 02:44 PM I love the fact that the guy saw he was on fire and had to chase him down to see what's happening! Not to help but to see what's happening! :rollingla Clavius 11-03-2006, 04:24 PM Oh I definatly smell a Lawsuit in this one and justifiably so!! Just damn... someone at that dealership he went to screwd sumthing up hardcore. XDEEDUBBX 11-03-2006, 04:38 PM http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/9531/img1907kn9.jpg eeeeek! BigOLundh 11-03-2006, 06:05 PM I want to know why he kept drivign after it started burning. Not like Goodyear has some magical potion to put out hte flames. Driving it aroudn while on fire probably didnt help his case. -hS Shoafb 11-03-2006, 10:33 PM I want to know why he kept drivign after it started burning. Not like Goodyear has some magical potion to put out hte flames. Driving it aroudn while on fire probably didnt help his case. -hS He said he only realized he was on fire while passing the BMW. The Bmw owner said he pulled into the goodyear dealership one block away from there. You can't do much more then that. mysql101 11-03-2006, 10:36 PM Seems to be a trend. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcEhDA8jMAM&NR CarAndDriver 11-03-2006, 10:53 PM Smokin! Well glad the guy didn't get hurt. Sounds like the dealer's insurance will be paying out. Painful and sad to see such the Z06 getting toasted. Sounded like he got a unreliable one, whether he'll get a new one who knows. |
