Ok, I never see any 8's on the road!

If you have one, post up and say hi! I think that there are very few in vegas right now.

Duh!

I'm starting on Tuesday.

What's wrong with taking your 8 to the desert? It's cool out here now

Did you see the meetup here for vegas/sema in this forum?

Hope you can make it!

I live in Henderson, work in Vegas, and I have seen 2 since August, a grey and a yellow. Ask the dealer, and they are flying off the lot, look arround and the dealer can't be right.

Could be the local Mazda monopoly, and limited Utah selection, that prevents seeing more of these.

Your 8 is blue? If so, I haven't seen it. There is a yellow that I often saw at an apartment complex between robindale and warm springs off of green valley parkway, but I haven't seen it recently. The grey one was in the parking lot where I work for a few months, but I haven't seen it recently either.

I almost bought an 8 in September, but the numbers as I understood them, changed from the saleman to the finance office (over $5000 in change), then I got the tag team act from the manager and salesman. In the tag team act, I heard the cars "were flying off the lot", and that "everybody pays the over MSRP fee", which was contrary to the "your below MSRP" i heard earlier after initially settling on a price. The offered to split the difference, then when I rejected the new figures they just became insulting. The original numbers would have put me at about $200 below MSRP sticker, a fair deal by any standard but the dealership's management.

I am planning a midwest trip in a few months, and if I still want one (and I do right now) I'll get it at invoice (see the russ darrow posing on e-bay for any 8 at invoice )

Theres no way the cars are flying off the lots here, i'm a runner for my day job and for sure i would have seen more then 3 in 2 months. I live in Summerlin and commute mostly on that side of town but usually driving to henderson/North Las Vegas once a week....I actually bought mine from a dealer in Lancaster, CA because they were willing to take $1k off MSRP and the dealers here in vegas would have nothing to do with it, didn't even try to earn my business.

BTW what dealership are you guys using for warranty stuff? I'm going to Peoples since it isn't too far away from my work and they treated me the best out of the 3 here in vegas.

Just thought I would drop in on this last Roll Call...

I have been in Vegas now for around 8 months and am now a proud owner of a Winning Blue RX-8 Sport Automatic.

By no means is this the top of the line $37,000 Grand Touring model, but just happy to be part of the crowd.

I just wish someone would have told me to take a week off after buying mine cause I can't help but watch the clock till I get off work to get in and drive.

Hope to be around for any future events and hopefully we have a good representation here in Vegas.

My family owns a house in Vegas. Maybe one day when I'm there for a vacation I'll bring the 8. But it's a long drive form LA to Vegas. How would the 8 hold up on the way there? My house is like 10 minutes from the strip. I don' exactly know where it is.

Syntrix- I've seen the videos of your 8 on the track. Any chance I can get in on the track action if i do bring the 8 out there?

It's just one big party around the strip

Can't go wrong no matter what you do!

10 minutes from the strip?
That's pretty close considering how long it takes to wait at those red lights.
I live in Vegas
and I saw a grey one with tinted windows parked near the strip
and again 10 minutes later making a turn somewhere behind Venitian.
might have been the same car

Then I saw a grey one AGAIN a week later going west on Flamingo near the Strip.
The guy driving was a sort of big caucasian guy with white hair
Maybe in his 50's.
You're probably not in this forum, are you?

Other than that, I haven't seen any other Rx-8's in Las Vegas.

HOWEVER

I did see yet another grey one on the SR-163 going away from the Laughlin/Bullhead City area with tinted windows.
