plus, I don't care if that's Lance freaking Armstrong out there, if you get that close and the Mountain Lion decides you're it's next meal, you're f*cked.

so what's new & exciting?

Well after taking everything apart and cleaning the terminals and lubing them and putting them back together for the power steering I looked over to see the positive battery terminal fairly loose! Today it is good so far.

So far so good, last time I cleaned and relubed the old harness it last a week, but I am kind of thinking this was the power terminal?

hasn't been very active for some time. Most of the RX8 owners from this area have moved on to other cars.
We do a small cruise once or twice a year

On a side note the car is back at the dealership fixing the power steering again. It is also going to get a compression check.

Would anyone be interested in dusting off the cruise itinerary for an event next month?

I am sure people want to but we usually try to avoid December with the holidays and all things are hectic enough, I did see their is GMR run on December 14th out of the Kohls in La Verne. I think it is open to all cars.

Don't do it. The Z forums and cars are filled with teenage drivers. Check your insurance before you buy one. The average life span of a Z car before its first accident is under 1 year now because of all the ricers. ( have been a member on that other forum since Jan 2007. I have watched it go downhill)

Remember, I bought a Porsche for less than a Z, and my insurance is less too.

I almost bought a Porsche, but then I checked out the cost of regular maintenance replacement parts and my reaction was.....

Anyway, is this the December 14th GMR Cruise you were talking about? http://www.the370z.com/southern-cali...14-2013-a.html

I save more on insurance than I spend in parts and maintenance.

I am looking for something fairly to brand new but the deal breaker may be bicycle transport.
Right now if I need to go that route, this is what I am looking at (no WRX's my neighbors already have two):
Infiniti Q50 - base
Nissan 370Z - base
Kia Optima - turbo
Hyundai Genesis Coupe - mid
Mazda 6 - (sister has one already)
Audi A5 - (used)

If you get the Z, make sure it has the LSD. Not sure about the new ones, but a few years back you needed to go with the 'enthusiast' model to get the LSD

infinity q50 - blah
nissan 370z - oversteering pos
kia optima is nice but I'd rather have a Sonata
gen coupe is nice
Veloster is good but it's slower then Death. just ask michael
Mazda 6 is a great car but I'd wait for the diesel. (almost 2x the torque, better mpg)
Audi A5 - pricey unless you get a really used one (ie; high mileage)

If you give me comments you got to give me suggestions. I am a fan of the Kia styling over the Hyundai, A5 high mileage is 22,000 miles for $30 at car max.

I guess there is also the MS3 but that doesn't improve MPG much but it is quite affordable.
