NOPI in Phoenix this weekend!!!
Anyone going?!?!

lets see... 2 days of drag racing, show cars, a burnout contest, vendors and we cant forget a concert by Li'l Flip and Kudzo (dont know who they are but...yeah who cares) lets see...what else...oh yeah!!...CHICKS!!! in foam pits! and wet t-shirts!! and jello wrestling!! Well...I'm having a St Patty's gathering at my house Friday after work and then Sat I'm heading out to east Mesa, possibly checking out the Renaissance Festival while I'm out there. Which leaves Sunday....so we'll see. I think the spectator fee is turning some people off. What can ya do...

Asian 2 door 4 seat Custom class 3rd Place- Boxcar (First trophy!!!, Congrats my friend) 2nd Place- Mac 1st...DILLIGAF? not us You ask where is Mazdamaniac? Well they didnt feel he rightfully deserved a tropy...in THAT class...rather he received and award called... "Top 10 Best of Show"!!! big beautiful trophy and ca$h!!! Congrats to you both, with today's recognition we have help put the 8's on the map as a true Tuner and show capable vehicle. We hope the rest of you will join us at the next event or come and support your local 8's. Good job fellas! Mac... as you know, I would have killed to be there if not for Steve Kan being in town and tuning this past weekend. Props to everyone, especially Shawn for his first hardware holiday! :ylsuper: Man... Sunday was extremely chilly. I'm sure that most of the models were probably wearing insulated trench coats inbetween the bikini contests huh? Sounds like everyone had a great time. Was this a funner time than HIN? |

Hey Shawn, yea we met.... I had the Red tC, and we fiddled with your car PC for almost an hour! Now I am a proud titanium 8 owner too....

You gotta let me know when you're headed to an event. I haven't taken my out in a while but she's itchen to leave the garage. I swear every time I try and show that PC off it blows up on me. Did you ever end up putting a CarPC in your TC? If you haven't and you decide to go that route let me know and I'll hook you up. I became a reseller for Jetway a couple months ago and finally got my hands on some of the new C7 boards:) -Shawn |
Hehehe, ya no kidding..... had no idea I would be an RX-8 owner when I was at NOPI with you guys. 10 days ago, my buddy told me about one they had at our local dealer that the price just got dropped on, so we looked at it that night, and I ended up leaving the tC there on the lot and driving home the RX-8. I only had the Scion for 13 months... it was just one of those crazy compulsive things... But damn! it's nice to have 12.7 inch rotors up front, 230+ HP, rear wheel drive, HIDs.etc ...oh yea.
I had all my research pretty much done on the Car PC I wanted for the tC (a prefab company out of Canda....yea I know cringe) but I am going to start over now... I have no problems building from scratch, so I am totally down with getting stuff through you... thanks! I look forward to meeting up again at a rotary get together... -C |

WOTM Mazdamaniac (Jeff) has the black 8 with the Lambo doors and the wheels are Ray's. Ryan (not Woon) is a buddy of mine who is a parts retaier www.tunerscorner.com (tell him i sent you). BTW Ryan no longer has the Supra, he sold it and got a new M3 convertible. Lesper- NOPI is mainly an East cost event...go to www.nopi.com for details. The only event out west this year was in Phoenix a few months ago. Mainly a car show and drag racing (2 days but theres always something going on). Mac |
