Headin to AZ Tomorrrow
So the trailer is almost packed, car is strapped, and I'm almost ready to drive 1700 miles.
Narrowed it down between a couple houses in either Stanfield or Casa Grande. One of the questions I do have though, who in the hell do ya'll get internet through? I've called Cox, Comcast, Verizon, and none of them offer high speed internet in Stanfield or Casa Grande. |
Not 100% sure about Case Grande but when I lived in Mesa, we used Cox. My buddy lives in Arizona City and he gets Cox and youre in between the 2, so I would assume Cox.
|
 u sed cox!
|
Cox is the cable internet provider out here. When you finally land be sure to come find all of us at BHR and hang out!
|
Why Stanfield or Casa Grande?
|
^^^ cus it's far away from YOU.
|
Stanfield? Population 1000. lol
I'm pretty sure there isn't any internet down there. Its mostly a trailer camp. Casa Grande probably has Comcast, though the vast majority of people there are still on dial-up. |
Looking closer, the house is towards Arizona City, and it has QWest Internet available(is it any good? LOL).
As long as its a decent connection, I'm not too worried. Hopefully the roads aren't too bad either, cause otherwise I'm gona bottom out on everything. Also, where is a good place to get my fenders rolled? Once I put the new spacers on, I'm definitely gona need a roll and possible new suspension adjustments. |
Qwest is going to be a DSL internet connection. As far as rolling your fenders one of the guys on Arizona Mazda Club.com has one. I'll see if I can figure out who it is and let you know.
|
Yeah I had been looking at their(QWest) site, and they show a 20MBs connection available. If that is the case, and it actually is a fast DSL connection, then I'll be happy. I do alot of gaming on my computer and upload videos so a faster connection the better.
Also, where would be a good place to either find an aftermarket under tray, or a stock one. Mine has been ripped to shreds from old roads back home. One last question, is there any kind of noise restrictions as a state law, or is it just based upon the area you are in. My exhaust is almost as loud as some sport bikes with D&D Mufflers and Sidewinders. |
As far as DSL speed, 20mb, that's going to be MAX speed on a great day.
Under tray? BHR can get you a new factory one below retail. Andf you'll need it when summer comes for the added cooling ability. As for your exhaust,, if they haven't stopped Flashwing I think you'll be OK. AZ is not that bad on vehicle laws. If you can drive a Prostock Dragster down the road, licensed. And you can! I don't think you have much to worry about. |
It all sounds good. Once we get moved in, I guess I'm going to have to find BHR and take a look around.
Are there any kind of hang-out/cruise spots or is that more towards Phoenix/Tuscon. I know we had some back in Indianapolis. |
I'm in Eloy now. Gona unload the car tomorrow and go looking for a job. Might take a cruise up to BHR if that is ok?

Send PM's to us and we'll hook up. I'm at CRH's right now doing coil kits.
|
Quest is great internet, I switched from cable to quest dsl once and it actually uploads way faster than cable. The download speed was less, but not bad.
|
Ill send a couple PMs out in the morning. I need to put some more job applications in. I forgot after having a job for so long, that is sucks to try and find one again.
|
We'll be here, or there, or somewhere.
|
Done w/ the joining on the other site, and sent a PM out.
