FC spun out

...I was drivin' down on 80 on my way home (hercules) from work (fairfield). While I was driving on the outer left lane, I saw a light blue FC with a drift unit sticker on the hatch that came out from the lane on my right and pulled up about a car length; then he/she tried to swerve/get sideways and spun out about 3 times in the process and finally ended up on the right shoulder. Most of you know that it's been raining on and off for the past few days and it could've been a massive pile up if it hadn't been for the fact that there was a pretty huge gap betwen him and the cars behind him. lucky, I guess.
btw, this happened around 4:30 earlier today somewhere around American Canyon. not sure if it was intetional and suddenly lost control or something wrong happened but either way I hope that everything's ok. There's a good chance that he might be an RX7club.com member.

Well at least no one got hurt even though the end result could have been much worse. I know people who know the drift unit guys. Most of them are in the east bay area. Yea none of those guys are in any of the car clubs/forums. They mostly do their own thing.

...it was pouring pretty good so most of the cars are traveling under 70. when he tried to drift, he was going to the left (in front of me) which forced me to slow down. he spun out when he tried to countersteer. I think he lifted his foot of the throttle way to quickly. that and the wet road contributed to a sudden loss of traction and control.
