I bought my 8 in San Lois Obispo over 13 years ago, does that count?
Although, it's been quite some time since I've taken my RX-8 back to visit. I know when I did spend time in SLO, I rarely saw any in the city.
Whereabouts in SLO county are you?

I work near the airport and live in Grover Bch. Just got my 07. I'm trying to figure out what to do with it. I was looking for a low mileage nb miata, but they don't seem to exist anymore. When I was a young kid my family had a RX4 wagon and I fell in love with the wankel engine. So when I saw this one with 68K from a 75yo I figured I would give it a try. I'm using it as a daily driver but want to take it out to Button Willow for some track time.

congrats on the car!
Buttonwillow would be fun but you should plan on coming down to SoCal the weekend of Nov 3rd for SevenStock 21.
We've rented the track at AutoClub Speedway or you can just bring the 8 and join the rest of us rotor heads for the day. The old school guys usually bring a ton of cars that are always fun to see. I'm sure they'll bring back memories of your family's RX-4
