29 Stumps/Joshua Tree/Yucca Valley
I know this has been done before, but I'm trying again.
Where's all the owners round these parts?! I know ya'll are out there. I see you all over base. I've seen you in Yucca and Joshua if only driving through. I wish to find you so we may talk, and help and meet and drive and everything else. |
I used to be stationed at the Stumps with the hospital. I would assume many of those you saw do not know about this forum. You should just approach those Marines you know drives an RX-8 and consider the meets in the thread below, specially the Riverside/Mo-Val RX-8s:
SOCAL LOUNGE II San Bernardino Monthly Mazda Meet Drive |
I'm beginning to assume the same. I've been thinking about the San Bernardino one since it's only two hours away, but it would still be nice to get up with locals. especially since we all have more than one common ground ya know?

There were two members that I had a brief chat in a thread who lives in Joshua Tree and 29 Palms. Browse through the SoCal RX-8 meets and you may come accross them. I will see if I could find those members. In the meantime, keep your car cool specially there in the high desert.

Thanks for the heads up and I'd appreciate if you did send em my way. I'd like to get our own little thing goin if I can. At least just for us to congregate and bash heads on problems. |
Oh, there are plenty of those problems to bash your head on. Just make sure you have your kevlar on.

Until you take care of that, you shouldn't drive the car specially now that the temps get close to three digits. There's a discussion thread also about lowering the temp of when the fans turn on using a COBB APP and a DIY of installing a fan switch to turn it on manually. Anyway, searching for the other members from the high desert, I came across his last post in this thread: San Bernardino monthly Mazda meet and drive.
Look into this thread as well: Official Riverside Meet! PM some guys in there. |
Thanks bud. I haven't been driving the car. I don't need her over heating. I'm installing the FALtomorrow and as for mt AP I have it set to turn on on the fans at a lower temp than what the normal tune would.
