January 1, 2007 - New Year’s Day South Mountain Run and Go Karting at F1 Race Factory.

Saturday, February 17, 2007 - Bartlett Lake Run. Details and meeting time and place to be announced.

Saturday 24 - Valley Casino Poker Run. Details and meeting time and place to be announced.

Saturday, April 7, 2007 - First annual P6 Spring Run (Phoenix-Payson, Payson-Prescott, Prescott-Phoenix).

Sunday, May 6, 2007 - Spring Tortilla Flats Run. Details and meeting time and place to be announced.

Saturday, June 9, 2007 - First of two Saturday evening "Hot Summer Night" events. Meet at Safeway Plaza at 83rd Ave North of Beardsley,

Sunday, July 15, 2007 - Summer Grudge Match go kart racing at F1 Race Factory,

Saturday, August 25, 2007 - Second "Hot Summer Night" event at the Scottsdale Pavillions.

Friday, September 21 - Sunday September 23 - SevenStock 10 caravan to Irvine CA

October Event - Nothing on the books so far. Open to your suggestions!

Sunday, November 18th - Fourth Annual Turkey Trot and Rotary Romp out to Tortilla Flats followed by Annual Club picnic.

Sunday, December 2 Annual Toyz-for-Totz drive to Wickenburg

Tuesday, January 1 Annual New Years Day South Mountain run

 

Everyone,

OK, here's the scoop for our New Year's Day Drive. Meet in the parking lot of the Phoenix Zoo (between VanBuren and McDowell Road on Galvin Parkway) between 10 and 10:30 am. Depart for a drive to the top of South Mountain at 11 am. Leave summit of South Mountain Park by 12:30 to get to F1 by 1 pm for Go Karting, lunch, and door prizes.

Hope to see you there as we bring in 2007 with a BRAAAP!!!

Cool everyone. Looks like we're forming a nice group. Still need another racer or two to meet our minimum at F1. Anyone else want to join in the fun? Feel free to bring a friend or two (as long as they're not fast on the track )

Darned good to see you and the missus Easy. Glad you made it to the meet after your surprise trip to Blythe at WHAT time this morning? GREAT showing today, I think we had 15 cars total...is that right? Thanks to all who showed up and made this a GREAT first event for 2007. WOOT!

This is the end of the road that leads to the summit of South Mountain. The roads up to this point are much twistier, but you can get some good speed going on this stretch!

Yes, the run today was Hella fun. Sorry you couldn't make it Sue. Traffic was a little slow at first, but we made up for it after the vehicles in front of us turned off at the lower outlook. Then it was Braap, Braap, BRAAP!!! to the top of of the mountain. Coming down was much of the same, so a good time was had by all.

At F1, all I can say is that I got lucky and grabbed a go-kart on steroids. That sucker had a second gear that no one else seemed to possess. Great day, with an awesome group of people. Thanks to everyone who came out to get my 2007 off on the right foot!

 

Yep yesterday was fun. Way up was fun, but the way down sucked. everyone behind Brian was stuck behind a slow A@& Isuzu. Je just didn't get it. Besy part was the dodge that demolished the rock wall at the bottom.

My apologies on the lack of an official club calendar for the first half of 2007. I'll be posting something later this week. I've been living at work the last couple of weeks working on getting a customer proposal out, but we finished today!
