Question Rep

On another forum that I am apart of, they have a rep bar. It is sort of like the iTrader, which they have as well. Basically it could possibly help with people actually believing what some other members say on certain topics. Check out www.therangerstation.com for a better example.

I have a rep of 33 due to helping a lot people with V8 swaps and troubleshooting. Just a thought.

Useless...you can have a great rep because you post boobies, but know nothing about RX8s...you can post great BS and get a good rep because you are one of the inner circle that posts a lot.

It would be great if just the moderators screened the posts, and gave people rep points...but its a lot of work to filter the BS from good information.

Just my thoughts.

That is why you do not allow rep to be granted from within the lounge. There has to be validity to rep that is being given. This is more of a user thing not a mod thing.

This is RX8Club, not Facepalmbook

If you want to play who can have the biggest clique of friends who "like" then it can happen there instead ..

It's not likely going to happen. The site hasn't had an a privet owner for quite some time now. It is owned by a corporation with many automotive forums. They are all pretty much configured the same. None that I know of use "Reputation" as a metric for a members knowledge level.
