Have older embedded pictures and member Icons been shelved (taken off the site)? Several older posts from 2016-21 have no pictures and some members icons are a letter now:

 

think a lot of the older hosting sites are offline ie; Photobucket, flickr, etc

 

But user avatars should be embedded right? I feel like the changw happened overnight at some point recently.

We're deep into the "long tail" phase of this site's life. I think IB isn't going to spend much time or money on it anymore. Things will get worse and worse until one day it's just gone.
Save/download any threads and pictures you think are important, either to your own computer or via archive.today or archive.org (or all three!).

 

if they’re uploaded here rather than linked/posted from the sites Jedi mentioned then they should be around for a long time if RX7Club is any indicator.
