We are super excited to launch a new way to enjoy the RX8Club community from your mobile devices!

It's still a very early beta but beginning today if you're logged in and visiting the Community from your mobile device, you can now choose a dark mode theme in addition to the standard 'bright' theme we've always had 😎

We are looking to you for feedback about the experience. Being that you are one of the very first communities we're trying this out on, we don't expect to have gotten it perfect so we appreciate any feedback you're able to provide.

We also recognize that some of you would like to see a dark mode on desktop, we do too! Our first goal is to perfect this mobile experience and our hope is to release dark mode for all browsers once the summer is over. Thank you all in advance for your understanding.

Please log in from your mobile, turn the dark mode on using the Hamburger menu and let us know your feedback in this thread.

idk what dark mode is but fixing the last page not loading seems like more of a benefit

 

I've been using a dark mode on my Android phone for quite some time now.

please link me to threads where this is an issue. you can 'resolve' it for yourself by changing the number of posts per page setting in your userCP.

im not a computer guy but many here are and are having the same issue including a site admin

 

that thread is closed, but i can load all the pages. do you have a current example?

 

b@w thread is the most common example. it happens to a lot of us every week

 

i assume that this happens in years old mega threads only? the bug is related to deleted posts within threads like this breaking pagination for some people.

we do not have a fix, or timeline to fix this yet. as noted changing your own posts per page setting can fix the issue, as could closing old mega threads and making new ones.

This happens with current threads.. tbh ditching the auto page turn is the solution. I’ve hated the continuous scroll feature since it was introduced here. Makes viewing this site on a mobile device a pain in the butt. It personally limits my interaction in this site when it pops up. And as an IT professional of over 20 years.. it’s hard for me to want to sit on a computer at the end of the day.

 

unfortunately that particular decision is made above my head and turning infinite scroll off is never happening

 

okay, back to the dark mode talk.
I like it!
i tend to run dark mode on all my android devices / browsers and while I don't usually browse this forum in mobile mode on my cell, I did switch the setting and the dark mode is much nicer.
