The year of anticipation is almost over.

renesisjim 03-21-2011 03:14 PM

OK guys my copilot will not be attending. So I will have an extra bed if anyone wants to split a room. Stupid IRS.

Hopefully the IRS was not your copilot.

Nope, Travis just found out he has to pay in. So he can't afford to go. They still don't have his disability completed yet. He's living of 50% pay.

Ahhh, government (in)efficiency!

renesisjim 03-21-2011 04:28 PM

I might just bring him anyway and just foot the bill. What's an extra $150.

You could have Travis ask the IRS, I'm sure they'd tell him. :D:

Lord ET 03-21-2011 05:09 PM

They could also probably confirm whether or not $150 makes a good friend or not ;)

ryanalexander4 03-21-2011 05:49 PM

I'm in. Sorry it took so long for a definite; I didn't know if we would be deployed by now or not.

ryanalexander4 - NTX, (any NTXers need to split a room?)

Haven't booked yet, wanted to see if any stragglers like me still need to split.

Good friend.

We've been friends for 18yrs. You can't get a better friend then that. He would do it for me.

And Brandon will take the 2nd bed and save us even more money. :ylsuper:

Right up until someone hits a deer. There will be no official night runs at the state meet.

Somehow I doubt there was any "thinking" involved.

And what Thomas said, there will not be a "midnight" run at the state meet.

WTBRotary! 03-22-2011 09:50 PM

Why is this run opposed there where its not here? Im just curious...

Because apparently you haven't been as observant of the wildlife in that area. On several previous State Meets (the ones based out of Kerrvile) there have been not one, but several, sitings of deer carcasses on the road from being hit by cars. Not to mention the huge signs with leaping deer on them every 10 miles. Don't think there have been any deer sitings in McKinney in about 100 years or so.... You hit a deer, your car is done, no questions asked.

Not to mention that if the fit hits the shan, you're a lot farther away from home and regular repairs, and the tow costs would be insane. And that's assuming that there's no injury to the driver.

If you want to do a night run, do it in the D/FW area, preferably with at least one other person so somebody can call in if/when something bad happens.

You're doing it wrong, don't you know the first and last letter are the ones that are supposed to matter for readability :P
