Thread Starter's question/topic at top of every page

I had brought this up a while ago about somehow highlighting the starter of any given thread with some type of differentiation - whether it is by their name being red or something....

But now, I have seen on another forum a better idea...that the thread starter's topic is at the top of EVERY page of a thread...so if a thread is multiple pages, a reader will know at the top of every page what the topic in question is. It would have to be separated somehow so it doesn't look like an entry into the thread...maybe simply in a box or something.

I find this is a nice touch, especially when the majority of the thread titles out there are so generic that sometimes you may not know what you're reading until after you click and backtrack to the first page. With this suggestion, whether a thread is 2 pages long or 20 pages long, the initlal topic will be at the top of any page to clue the reader what the thread is.

I find that this may also help to keep threads on track, as many times threads drift from their intended topic.

That sounds like a good idea, maybe they could integrate both ideas? I'd personally like to have the thread starter's name at the top, or in red or something and your idea about the topic at the top of the page is pretty sweet. It happens to me quite a bit that I need to go back sometimes to find out what the topic is, but that may be due to my ADD
:p

Hopefully some of the mods will think it's a good idea too...
