I have a better idea. Why dont you guys delete some of the old threads that aren't worth a sh-t anyway? That way, when a "noob" tries to search he doesn't come across a week worth of reading. That's why you guys keep getting the same questions.
Maybe re-vamp the search feature so you get better hits when you are searching for something specific. Maybe it isn't the newbies fault??
If you make someone who doesn't know jack about the 8 wait until they have enough posts won't that just create MORE worthless posts?????

I use the search function all of the time, it works okay but google works better. I agree many posts are unneeded but that is the nature of a forum. The bottom line is that if you want to learn it takes a little bit of work. What you think might not be worth a shit may be the best thread ever to someone else.

We were all noobs at one point and not everyone comes on asking stupid ass questions, just the lazy people do that.

I'm with you on this one 9k, I haven't been around that long, but I don't think I have started one thread that did not need to be started, cause I searched. It doesn't take more than a few seconds to determine which threads are trash and which ones aren't, I think the problem is that a lot of people search once (if at all) and don't find the answer right in their face, proceed to not try any other word combos and then BAM useless thread that we are all like :banghead: too. Problem is that people are lazy and stupid and most want to be spoon-fed things and no requirement or test will change that.

True.
But, if there was even one of the suggestions that this thread has offered to new members, I think that there would be a lot less "how can I maintain/ how can I get more power/ what's a battle :Freak_ani" type threads.
We may still see a lot of "what suspension works/ body kits/ turbos/ etc", but at least a test or 'initiation' into the club will clear some of the clutter...
A definite 'spring cleaning' should be performed.

I do not have many posts my self, its because I take the time to search ,and once you do
you will find what you are looking for. Just search " how many miles does your rx8 get to a tank " or " whats the cheapest way to get the most hp " and you will be flooded with the same stuff once you dig around.

Oh man, that would be SO nice!

What can we do to make this happen? I mean the redundant threads are just nuts lately. So many other forums do it, why can't we?
