Search for replys I've posted?
How can I search for replies I've posted to other peoples threads?
I've been searching for over 1/2 hour to find a thread having to do with an auto transmission car that I thought might have a torque convertor problem, and I am not able to track it down. If I could search just for replies that 'Skillmaker' generated, I would be able to hunt it down quickly. Please help. |
umm.... if you go to view your profile, the is a link to view all your posts...
it says "Find all posts by skillmaker" |
Search by User name....you suck at the internet.

Wow, holycross. You can take your attitude and stuff it where the sun don't shine, anatomically. You don't even know me, so a personal attack is unwarranted.
Did you guys ever wonder why some folks don't post here? Because of jackasses like you two. First of all, I looked for the option to find my own posts. I was NOT able to find it. I would presume at this point because I did not have the option set to automatically subscribe to every thread I posted or started. However, neither of you idiots came up with THAT tidbit. Secondly, I DID do a search for 'skillmaker', and it only found about 10% of the items I've placed here (mostly replies). It looks like the database behind this site is either corrupt or incomplete. Otherwise, searching for every reply I placed using that method would have worked as well. Good grief. You must believe yourself to be some kind of GOD who knows all and sees all. Take it from me, you are not. Get over yourself, and try to actually be HELPFUL next time instead of just finding ways to be snide. |

My Apologies NGo.
I jumbled you in with Holycross. That was unwarranted, and I am sorry for that. However, I still am not able to find the option you are referring to on the profile page. Any additional instruction would be appreciated. |

I'm with Saturn on this one. Link comes back with a search result page showing no items found.
And, thanks for finding the other thread. I appreciate the assistance. NGo, Your link pointing me to the profile view works great. https://www.rx8club.com/member.php?u=24852 By examining the link, I was able to determine that I needed to: 1) Go to the main page 2) Go to the 'Members' menu option at the top of the screen 3) Go to the 'S' section of the members list 4) Find the Skillmaker entry 5) Open the skillmaker entry Now I see the screen you are referring to. Thanks again. |

hmmm, didn't think about that. Must be only on member post search criteria then. Maybe due to the fact that the "find all post by(enter member name)" function that Ngo described above is available. Hell I dunno! :wallbash: |

Now I thank you all. And, I hope my learning experience benefits someone else as well. |
