Reset last date-time visited?
Question:
Is there a way to reset the last date-time visited in the forum? After searching and reviewing many threads in the forum I cannot find the answer to this question. It may be there somewhere, but I couldn't find it. If this option does exist, please point me to it? If it does NOT exist, can it be added? Background: There are occasions when I would like to reset my View First Unread (i.e., last visit date-time) back a few hours or days. Here's the reason. I'm reading the posts that are new since my last visit and I jump to an external web site from a link imbedded in a post. Sometimes when I return to the forum from a "long journey" through the web, the new posts are no longer displayed in bold type, so the last visit date-time has been updated even though I have not finished reviewing the new posts. If the date-time could be set back to the previous last time I visited the forum, the new posts would again be displayed in bold type and much easier to pick out. Thanks, Larry |
i've had a very similar problem, but mine occurs when i am making a long post instead of going on a 'net excursion. if anyone has an answer, post it.

Only way I know of to reset this is via Admin permissions. So, send me a PM (or catch me on AIM if you see me) letting me know when you want it reset to, and I can do it for you.

Another option would be to add a button that searches for new posts in the last 24 hours.
