Remove The Caps Lock Filter On Posts
 

It Has Come To My Attention That If You Write A Post All In Caps Locks, Or Even Just A Word, Upon Submission The First Letter Of Each Capitalized Word Stays Upper Case, And The Others Magically Transform To Lower Case. I Do Not Approve.

JUST LIKE WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS POST, IT WAS ALL CAPS. HMM, IT APPEARS EDITING A POST ALLOWS YOU TO WRITE IN ALL CAPS

Tip: insert an emoticon of some sort. If even one character of your post is lowercase you can post in all caps, thus, most emoticon code consists of lowercase characters.

Leave the filter there, I reckon.

It serves it's purpose which is discouraging people from posting in caps. We can handle the oddball post with every first letter capitalised.....how much would we enjoy a forum where people were posting in caps willy nilly :icon5:

How about instead of making the first letter of each word capitolized, you make it just make it erase the entire post and put "I'm an idiot who writes in all caps" instead.

Yes, that's exactly what I think. People will most definitely take me more seriously if I write all in capital letters. I can't believe you figured out my plan. You're no fool, that's for sure.

That is a weird filter though. I would expect it would make every letter lowercase or something instead. I kinda like the idea of replacing their text with "i just got pwned by this forum" and lock their post somehow so they can't edit it. That would teach them to e-scream at everyone.
