Because it will take up extra space and processing every time a thread is displayed. There are more and more features and options available to forum administrators nowadays, and they have to choose what they include in the limited screen space and processing time available to them.

Since a quick reply box doesn't add any functionality (you can still do the same function without it), merely a shortcut for a few people at the expense of screen space and processing time for everyone all the time, it is normally left off by most administrators.

That doesn't mean that it's not worth it, it's just that it's normally traded off for other features. We will take it under consideration, though.

LOL , We?
I moderate on nopistons and I know that you guys dont write this software, you purchase it through Vbullitin. Not to mention that you are not an administrator and wont have anything to do with making such desicions other than possibly posting on a thread in the moderators forums.

Quick reply is one of my favorite options that we have on nopistons. It makes posting a quick thought very convient.
It only takes a few more seconds to go the other route but why would i want to click more buttons than i have to?
