Potential Owners Posts

"Should I buy an RX8"
"Looking at getting an 8...have a few questions."
"Convince me to get an 8."

Can we get like a sticky on the RX 8 Discussion forum with this title since they obviously aren't reading the FAQ.

Or maybe have a pop up when they try to make their very first post saying to read the FAQ before posting.

even if we did put a sticky, I doubt they'd read it. If they're not searching, they're probably not reading stickies

i was thinking the exact same thing, even if they don't view/search the sticky, it'd still be a good place for an admin to move the thread.

k then how about the pop up similar to the now debunk 25 character min. I just feel like something should be done about it since it's popping up with more frequency now that the nice weather is here.

maybe when they click new thread just automatically bring them to the FAQ since they're too lazy to go there themselves or don't know about it

They won't find it. Isn't "The Little Things" a sticky? I know I read that before I bought the car. Then again, I searched and read alot before I bought the car also.

Look more posts/questions about the same stuff that a simple search or glance at the FAQ would solve. I think the FAQ should be more advertised/visible (bolded in yellow??) upon sign up. This would prevent noob flaming as well. It's good for everyone. :lol2:

howbout just a bigass, bolded, blinking yellow disclaimer that says "if you are thinking about buying and RX8, CLICK HERE." when you register?

Rems31 06-21-2007 10:55 AM

I still think they should be led to that page automatically cuz most forum newbies are too lazy or don't know to read those first before posting...

konradk 06-21-2007 04:08 PM

maybe the front page should read "Special Feature! Thinking of buying an 8, but not sure how it stacks up against the competition? CLICK HERE!" :lol2:
