Is It Possible to Create a "New Threads" Forum?

I thought it was a bad thing when Omicron posted his message, back in Dec. '04, and I haven't changed my mind since then. Back in the day, the RX-8 Discussion forum was the place to see what was on people's minds because people generally posted there first. The moderators would then move the threads to where they belonged, adding something like "thread moved" to the title. At that time I read the RX-8 Discussion Forum at least every day, and because it was such a hodge-podge of stuff, I often ended up reading and enjoying threads I would never have discovered otherwise because I am just not likely to regularly go to forums dedicated to "tuning" or "RX-8 in the media." A good example of the "problem" is this thread... I expect almost no one will read this thread because it's being posted in a backwater.

If the decision is to keep the current "rigid" system of posting in the appropriate forum only, my idea is a new forum listing all the threads posted everywhere on the board chronologically. That might be the best of both worlds. That way, users like me could see all the new posts in one place, and the moderators wouldn't have to spend their time moving threads to better locations.

Didn't you used to be able to click on 'new threads' before?
Now I think you can only click on the 'new posts'.
