The polls section
 

Why? why is it there? the only topics in it are topics which are louge material anyhow. Why banish any topic with a polled question to this far away land that nobody visits? would it hurt to have lounge polls mixed in with the lounge material? I don't see the point, in fact, I think it's a pretty stupid idea for a subforum.

I too am in conjunction with Blueeyes on this one. Thats why I dont do polls. Wait that did not sound right

The reason it exists is because back when the lounge was a popular place to be a few members went a little poll happy for a week or so. The poll section was born, then the lounge died because of the heavy rules placed on it, and the poll section was abandoned.

I'd love to see a section similar to the OT on NASIOC take its place. A place where mods will rarely interfere, just about anything goes, and things like stupid questions and racing stories go to be picked apart by longstanding members. Trust me, people will learn quicker that way than they will with some mod closing their thread or giving them a warning. It would also clear every other section on the board of much clutter and flamewars.

I think the poll section should be moved from the subforum of the Lounge forum to the subforum of the RX-8 Discussion forum that way more visitors and lurkers can view polls.

why? what can't polls float amongst non polled threads in any subforum? I can't see a problem with that. The way it is now is dumb.

I think there was too many polls just floating around. Maybe they did not find it efficient? I dont know.

hell, I didn't even know we had a polls section until now. You only see it if you click on the General topics heading. how about making anything under general topics, visible from the mainscreen, rather than hidden in some subdirectory like that.
