How about (time in / time out) check so that you cant dump text into a thread then post.
Or you have to answer a confirmation email after you sign up before you can post?

I report spammers ALL THE TIME and it's never for short posts, usually they dump a huge page of worthless links into a post.

I really don't see the need for this, at all.
