I think it's a good idea...but it would have to be highly regulated because this leaves so much room for scams, outsiders coming in and abusing it, and some distasteful stuff.

In any case, it's a great idea to try, so why not a trial period? O and I think we should start by only allowing people who are known (not people with 5 or so post count) so we can avoid problems.

 

Is this not what ebay is for? People come to the RX8CLUB to learn about RX8's, and buy RX8 parts...If I want an Ipod...why not just go to ebay...

Unless it's a vendor. Ebay has given me very bad experiences.
Plus, it's quicker, and FREE to post on here. So I like this idea.

See, there's the problem. Where does it end? There are plenty of places on the web to sell your random stuff (ie. Craigslist and Ebay). Just not here. We don't have the resources to police this. We get enough spammers here as it is, and some of them post several times before spamming just to get around rules like "must have 5 posts before selling."

I think it's a TERRIBLE idea, sorry.
This is supposed to be a CAR forum, not a place to sell your ipod, used bicycle, or rent out your apartment.

There are plenty of other avenues for those types of sales.
