Make the search button easier to find

The new thread button is bigger and easier to find than the search button. Is there a way to change that?

make it giant,,,,,,,,,,, for the new people.

+1

Make it so big that the newbies will see it. Then we won't have 50 different threads stating "What is the best exhaust that gives the most power?"

just because the button is bigger doesn't mean noobs will use it. people are just lazy these days.

Yeah that might be true, but it is worth a try. Maybe when they create their new profile, it should be stated in bold print about searching.

if I wasn't so lazy, I'd post a picture of the famous Staples Easy button.

Other forums I go to actually make you click it twice. You click 'new thread' . .and it asks you if you have searched yet. Like a friendly reminder to look around first. Once you click 'yes, I have searched', then you can post a new thread.

4me2 12-25-2007 09:29 PM

shouldn't be able to make a new thread, before 10 posts.

Something like this should be on the top of the screen, but instead of saying "easy" it should say "SEARCH!"

Make the search button easier to find? You've got to be kidding me! This reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Homer designed a car and installed several horn buttons because "you can never find it when you need it". Come on man!

I vote for RX8 Fanatic's solution.

I vote for the whole if you click on the new thread button that it asks you if you searched first. If you say no, it should take you to the search page. If you say yes then you can make the thread. It might help a little bit, but there are some people who are just completely unwilling to help themselves, wanting someone to hold their hand through their entire life instead of growing up and doing things for yourself.
