Kill Section

I mean come on. I know "street" racing isnt right but Dont tell me you have never raced anyone from a light.

This forum is way to boring sometimes we need something to spice it up.

Can you imagine a kills section here? It would be full of people asking for video proof.

Besides, the joy is in the journey. Retellings never do justice. Keep your kill in your heart and treasure it like a jewel. Besides, in this car you never know when you will get another.

Why not? The average age of the 8 owner is not 20. Its a more mature car, meaning those who buy it are probably not going to be street racing and don't want to read about it. A "kills section" would add nothing thing to the forum.

Go read the kills section on the 7 forum, its full of morons and isn't as entertaining as you think.

Lastly the 8 isn't going to kill many cars in a straight line. The only kills posted would be "killed a civic today" or "beat a v6 mustang tonite".

Now I would love to see a DoO section added

"last night whiile I was sitting at a light, this 350z pulled up next to me. he started revving his engine, and I could just tell he was running a huge turbo and sprayed some NOS my way, so I could tell he wanted to get schooled. i timed the gas pedal perfect with the green light and WAM i shot ahead of him and he never caught up. I was doing at least 140 before I let off and threw on the hazards. that was a good day that day, my friends. that 350z didn't know who he was dealing with!"

sound ridiculous? so does EVERY FRIGGIN KILL STORY. we don't need fabricated fiction polluting this forum. every story like this is either made up or exaggerated beyond belief that it is nothing but crap.

if you want to race, go to the track, and take a video of it or scan a timeslip. kill stories on the street are L-A-M-E.

happy holidays.

But if there's people who want a kills section, why not add one? I know there are alot of people on here who would like to have such a section. You don't have to visit it or read the posts if you don't want to. Most other forums I've been on have a kills section, I don't see anything wrong with that.

I don't understand why more people don't see things this way. If there's something I don't like, I just don't participate, but I don't try to stop others who prefer to from having that choice. People are like this with so many things, if they don't like it, it shouldn't exist.

because this isnt a democracy and we dont want that crap on our forum. if you run a legitimate race at a track we have a section for that. other wise- post it elsewhere. we're not stopping you from posting it anywhere else

1st off. you are correct i agree with you. But you have to understand that most of the rx8 owners are older and more mature about these things am i right or wrong?

There are Plenty of people that record videos or race at the track. Sure i mean our car isnt a Straight line race car but Whats the big deal of putting up a section which allows us talk about things of this nature.

I mean I'm not Saying street racing is right, because its not. But people like to talk about their experiences of racing other cars or whatever.

besides storys that say "KILLED A Z TODAY " or whatever you know that its complete BS. Most RX8 drivers wont even waste their time. So give it a break dude.

you're darn right it's not. it's ILLEGAL. RX8club doesn't want to condone illegal behavior. i guess that's wrong of the mods here.

Well This forum IS dedicated to all RX8 owners correct? So then why not have a Vote on topics like this? Sure it's not a democracy. But you're saying "we dont want crap"

Well who's we? you and couple other big shots on the forum that know what every 8 owners opinion is?

look i'm not trying to be a dick but come on..

It doesn't matter what 8 owner's opinions are.

The admins and owner of this site set down what rules they want. Your way of "voting" as an owner is to log onto the site, or not log onto it. As it is kept running atleast in part by advertising dollars.

So your saying you dont care if you have somethign to say on this forum and no one gives a ****? Our opinions do count. If They did not you would not see threads asking "WHICH RIMS SHOULD I GET" or whatever People Care and want to know what others think.

whatever i give up..

Pollution....

I don't think the RX-8 owners would be the problem....

Check out any forum about cars; BMWs, 'Vettes, Civics, whatever - the killz section is ALWAYS full of OTHER makes owners bragging how they beat your "X" in a really fair scrap. Then you get the usual "No Way, Jose" posts about how that is impossible.....pointless, mindless, knee-jerk stuff.

Who wants a bunch of Crossfire slushbox owners telling us how they handed us our rear ends?

What I was saying is that on this issue, and on some other issues, they dont count.

As stated before, this is not a democracy. It is much like a business, you abide by the set rules of the establishment or you can go elsewhere. You can make suggestions or express your opinion, but nothing has to be done about it.

Race pipes are illegal also, I don't see anyone deleting threads about that. I really think it should be a topic that's voted on, but as zoom said its not a democracy so its not really up to the members.

race pipes arent illegal when legally racing. neither are turbos. they are legal in lots of places when not racing. street racing is stupid and we do not allow it to be promoted on this site.
