Expanding Banner Ads!
Stop it! Stop It! STOP IT!!!!
These ads have to be the most annoying, most intrusive, and by far the most frustrating developments on this and other websites. I come here for the content and fully understand the need for advertiser support... i get it... really, i do... but for them to commandeer my screen because my cursor scrolled over it, no not stopping on it... just scrolling past it... is just... :wallbash: please stop it... set some ground rules for these things... please don't ruin this site for me! Ray If you are not already using Firefox, download and install it. There is an "add on" called adblock plus. Again download and install it. Problem solved. The site is unlikely to stop advertising, that's one way to raise revenue. |

I get the need to advertise... i encourage it! Please have the courtesy to limit intrusive advertising. Most of us simply tolerate the presence of banner ads and the like but taking over my screen and only providing a tiny, camouflaged "close" icon somewhere in the periphery of the ad is just plain annoying.

That does not sound like advertising, it sounds much more like malware. I would have my computer checked just in case if I were you.
