Banner Blocking "New Post"drop down
This is the most annoying thing to have to bounce around to different sections till I can use the "New Threads" drop down. It hides behind certain banners. And is inaccessible.
Can you do something about it? :banghead: |
Only one that is doing it to me now is the K&N filter one and that's only on my laptop. Actually, you can just get to the "New Post" and be able to click it...........it just doesn't seem like you could, but you can.
At least it will get you off to another banner that works. Either that or hit refresh, but they should have the page edited so the drop down is always on top. Lazy programmers! Actually.....on my desktop at home I have an ad blocker and I get none. |
I get the same thing.
I'm running opera on vista. |
I can't see any banners and I'm keeping it that way.
|
yea,
i hate to say it, but i might have to go back to banner free.. dont want to do it.. speaking of banners, why is it if the banners are supposed to rotate. the damn k@n one comes up 3 out of 4 times.. fix that, and i wont get rid of the banners!!! beers  |
Hell my screen has been too wide for two weeks now!

i did not want to mention that.. i thought it was just my laptop.. the funny thing is it is not related to the crap k@n flash banner.... good job!!!!!! beers  |
i hate that damn K&n banner. i get it 2 or 3 refreshes in a row and it blocks the new post. also i dont believe the guaranteed power.
|
It's still too wide. Several Calif members have the same problem
|
we all know the K&N banner is causing issues but I just noticed that the new Chat banner is also busted. It blocks the new posts drop down AND the search functions.
How can we tell n00bies to search if it's not working? |
Click on the "Start" button on your task bar.
Choose "Search" from the list. Select "All Files and Folders" and type "hosts" (without the quotes) in the box, select Local Disk C: from the "Look In" menu and hit "Search". When the Hosts file shows up, double-click on it and select NotePad when it asks you to choose a program to open it. Once it is open, add this line to the very end of the file: 0.0.0.0 ad.doubleclick.net Save the file, close and reopen your browser and, Voilá! No more banners. |
add the Audi banner to this issue
|
or other stupid easy fix. put the rx8club banner below the tool bar, and the ads at the top..
beers  |
Can't search with the damn K&N banner.

I do hope they fix this some time soon. Though by the time they fix this one they will have put up another one that blocks it to take it's place.
|
banner is driving me nuts. it seems to be the Intake banners. 20 HP FROM YOUR CORVETTE ZO6
|
Look. They pay big money for them banners. Just click on it. Its not going to kill you. Hell if it takes you to there site just hit the back button guys :)
|
advertisement should not interfere with the site's navigation. Period.
the I-text, the obtrusive banner ads. The downtime and unresponsiveness earlier. This place has been downhill since it was sold. |
audi banner WORKED this morning. (as in it did not block the 'new posts' button)
|
-----------------^ nice
|
add another one to the broken banner list:
Adventure Quest - Free online RPG. Blocks the new post button. |
So does the new Sanderson Ford banner. That is a local Phoenix dealer so it might have some other things on it in other locations.
