Now if only they'd make one with a proper 6-speed manual...

Does the engine extend below the front windshield? From the pics of the engine bay, I dont think I see enough spcae for 12 cyclinders, from where I think the engine is.

Yea, why the hell does Mercedes Benz only make their cars in automatic?!?!

They have one car that is a stick shift if I recall correctly and its a crappy sedan low powered. All of their Euro cars are manual, right?

I believe the SLR is a supercharged V8 not a V12.

I think they just bumped the HP to 650. Not sure on the torque.

That engine bay looks very cool, although there's not much of a bay (being completely filled with the engine). It looks ridiculously front heavy though.

Great car. The owner of consolidatedresorts.com has one. Everyday I would look out my work window and see that or this one

If I recall right this will be that last production of the slr.

I think it balances out pretty evenly. The engine starts behind the front axle, and there is a lot of rear end to balance what's left.

I agree wholeheartedly that the SLR is the car that should've been the batmobile.

I think they should stick to something unrealistic like the Tumbler. In a movie with Batman and all the unrealistic things going on, why should they use an actual car?

i agree with you completely, but i don't agree with the wording. i think the tumbler is more realistic (research and devolopement military vehicle) for a more realistic "believable" batman movie. If in Batman Begins say he had an slr with rockets and all that other james bond type gear i don't think it would match the theme of the movie, but having the tumbler i think really match what they were going for.

^^What? It wouldn't match the fact that Bruce Wayne is a bajillionaire who lives in a ginormous gated mansion? Tumbler for Batman, SLR for Bruce Wayne.

Of all superhero movies, Batman wasn't that unrealistic

Ok I agree with this statement. Next movie (in preproduction I believe?!) should have good ole Bruce drive this baby around and keep the Tumbler for Batman. I still love that beast of a vehicle and was more believable with the whole jumping and shyt.

Can't wait to see how the Joker is going to look in the next flix.. whomeva is the actor (forget who is rumored gr) but he has BIG shoes to fill with following Nickleson's performance!
