How many of you?

With the current recall, how many of you will get out of your 8 and into something else. I ask because I love my 8, even with all its quirks. But the logical side of me says there are cars out there that have fewer problems, better gas mileage, maybe not as unique in the looks category nor can they handle as well but close. I'm rambling anyway what’s everyone doing?

keepin the car no matter what.

I think the human mind just enjoys talkin about this, but it really doesn't seem to big of a deal to me.

as many before me have said, "ye of little faith..."

the recall is nothing in comparison to the joys that the car brings me.

I love the 8. I guess I was lucky, never had a single problem with it. I just decided it was time for a change. I actually traded it in about a week before the recall info was made public,so that wasn't really an issue. I sometimes do things like that spontaneously. I have to say that so far I'm ecstatic with my new baby.

I might just sell it off and drop the money into a new motorcycle, then putting the rest into my FC and using that as a daily driver instead.

I've thought about it and there is only one car I would give the 8 up for, the s2k. I suppose if a killer deal was at hand for a mazdaspeed miata it would be tempting

Got recall notice but 8 running good. Willing to get a free tune up and new spark plugs! Wish they would recall the engine on my old 323, although it still runs like a good thing! I was amazed when many many years out of warrenty my local dealership (Valley Mazda) told me the seat belts had been recalled on the 323 and replaced them free - I had nearly worn them to rags! I don't think any car could replace the 8, but I think the new 3 might replace the 323 - still I would hate to load hay bales or make a run to the garbage dump in a new car! Could use another 8 tho, just to keep under wraps and use at very special occassions like the classic car event at Monterey.

I busted a tigger and traded mine as well about 3 weeks ago. Haven't looked back since.

I put too much of my energy paying off, maintaining and modding my 8. No turning back. Also, about to purchase a FC3S. I'm going to try to collect rotary vehicles now Good luck to me...
