I remember reading that the stock rim actually has two different weights, depending on where it was made. The rim has a stamp on the back listing where it was made.
Ulllose is a knowledgeable guy who posted the information a long time ago. Don't recall what thread it was originally in, but it is in our San Bernardino Autocross thread somewhere.
