i believe the race engine in the race car Z06R is 600 hp compared to the production Z06 which is 505, so i'll guess they'll pretty much dump that engine into a street car. (but the race Z06R is a little over 300 pounds lighter i think)

 

Why not? I mean that new 350ci is capable of some stupid crazy numbers. I doubt 600hp is even close to stringing it out. Plus a 600hp Corvette is a great way to thin out the oversupply of cosmetic surgeons ans class action lawyers. They'll end up as a red puddle somewhere.

 

600 hp ...man if the price doesn't jump to crazily then it has just become the best bang for the buck car of all time

 

i agree. 600hp.... my god, what are the streets coming too? Cracking down on street racing and speeding, now with all the numbers being spit out by car manufacturers, theres going to be more of an epidemic... i can imagine some little kid taking his dad's corvette out and then bam, 5 car accident... my god...
