RX-8 Flywheel?

Hello, I am a new RX-8 owner, but not new to rotary scene. I know Mazda has not really changed the flywheel design on their rotary cars in ages, and I am wondering if its still the same for the RX-8. I currently I have a ACT streetlite turbo RX-7 flywheel laying around. Does anyone know if the RX-8 uses a Turbo style, older smaller Non-turbo RX-7 flywheel or its a totally new beast?

Thanks

I'm running the fidanza flywheel for the turbo rx7, it works just fine. https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-aftermarket-performance-modifications-23/flywheel-question-92272/ On a sidenote, fidanza now lists their flywheel for the rx8 as being 10lbs?.... WTF! bastards, my scale was right after all!!!!! https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...3&postcount=91

The ACT part numbers are the same for the RX-8 and the RX-7, turbo, model years '86-99. Those part numbers are 600140 for the Prolite and 600145 for the Streetlite. Carolina Clutch has them for about $239 for anyone that might want one. This is not a paid or otherwise compensated endorsement. I just help people to find the best prices around.

Great, I knew I would have to buy another counterweight. I was just hoping that the turbo Flywheel would work. Oneless aftermarket part for me to buy.

Check with Trussville Mazda on the counterweight, as they tend to have good prices, and make sure the bolts you use come from the company that makes the aftermarket flywheel. Flywheel thicknesses may vary.
