I'm new to the forums by the way...

Just so you know, I'm new to stick shift...been at it like 3 months... and I bought my rx-8 a month after i learned.. 8-) it was an enlightening experience. I just turned 24...so I've been deprived of the clutch and shifter for a long part of my life :X

I am actually considering selling my RX8....b/c I can't take it up to the mountain and it can't fit snowboards -_- any bidders?

sorry if this is the wrong forum.

i know i can make it up the mountain...but even without my car lowered, it'd be ridiculous to put on chains...... snow tires?

rear wheel...hmm...on ice :o

Hmm... i'll try fitting in 2 snowboards today diagonally putting the front seat down. I would need to be able to fit one more person as well.

lol i am dumb... if i slide the seat forward and recline it all the way back, snowboards fit perfectly fine. woot! And one person can still sit behind the drivers seat.

The section between the rear seats can be removed, allowing for snowboards to be placed in the trunk but stick out into the rear seat area, allowing the passenger to sit in the passenger seat. I've not actually tried this, but it looks like it would work.

As far as taking the 8 up to Hood, chains (or other traction devices) are usually required in the winter, but I think studded snow tires will pass as "other". Just take it slow. Maybe I'll see you up there if I can fit my skis in my 8!

well, you would have to take out the bindings off the snowboard = way too much hassle -_-
