replacing NAV with touchscreen questions

I got a VGA screen that will be using with a carPC replacing my OEM NAV. i got this far but now sure how to discconect this. pull it off, does the white part unplugs or the ribon itself comes off?

also the back of the NAV i see two clips on the side. is that it or how does it come off?

ah nevermind, i was able to get it off wihtout removing that ribon

there are a few of those in there, just pull on the corners (the little brownish tips -- not the cable, but the plastic itself).. you should use your fingernails to pull them on both sides one at a time (it moves slightly), then the ribbon cable will be loose and you can just remove it.. when putting back you do the opposite (push the corners after cable in place) see pic:
