hey I own a AT 8, just wondering what the proper way of driving in manumatic would be? i.e. like when to shift? do u led of the gas like you would when you would be shifting in manual? please i actually heard about some carbon building up, but i don't want to ruin my car while trying to redline.... so if anyone can help me I would be grateful....please excuse the fact that i own an AT...

 

just drive and upshift. you dont have to let of the gas.

or drive, let off gas and shift- but don't get back on the gas until the rpm falls into gear or you will ruin your tranny.
