Question HELP! front apperance lip

Need help installing front apperance lip. Do we use both the front apperance lip and existing black piece? Do all the screw holes match the underside splashguard? Pictures of underside lip if possible please? Do we cut anything?

Lesper,

Sorry for the delay but I ran into some computer issues. Heading out to take pictures in a few minutes. I'll have them posted soon.

Jedi, you may want to tighten the screw closest to the camera in your 3rd pic!

damn, I knew someone was going to notice that. Good eye Aipex8.

I busted that screw when I last took my bumper off to install the RB screens. Been meaning to fix that... oops.

Lesper: Did you get your front air dam installed?

you take off the front bumper, remove the lower black trim piece, drill something like 6 holes in the bumper (little "+" signs are molded into the back of the bumper where you need to drill), and then bolt it up

Yes I got it installed, i was missing the toothed piece shown in pictures 3 and 4 (about 1" wide) we chopped up the old black stick lip. Jedi you were a bit late, we both got your message as well...we eneded up driving to Romero and took a look at one on the lot. I will post more pictures later especially how i chopped up the old piece.

resolution?

To update and finish the story:

I was installing the front apperance lip / air dam. The problem i ran into is that i only had one piece when there should have been an additionl piece to install. The apperence piece stuck further out away from the car then the stock black piece so i was unable to attach it to the undercarriage splash guard. The piece i am missing is shown in picture 1. it is like a spacer between the splash guard and air dam.

What I ended up doing is cutting up the black stock piece (the piece that most cars have to mount the front rotary accent on to with out the apperance package) The holes lined up and connected the air dam on the sides and the splash guard in the center. You can still see in picture 2 that their is a space/gap between the two pieces. If Any one has this piece I would like to have it Please! The seller from the froum no longer has it and Mazda says you can only get that piece if you by the whole front air dam.

Right now the car is functional and secure but i dont like to have it gerry rigged and then something happen later becasue i didnt have the right pieces.

(first picture is car from dealership with apperance package, second picture is my car after installing air dam)
