Has anyone had any positive or negative affects on the idle after installing the new K&N short ram intake? It seems the first version of the K&N was giving the rx-8 a rough idle. I recently purchased the new K&N intake and I was wondering if it has improved anyone's idle or made it any worse?

 

How much was the intake, I assume it comes with a filter?

 

hasnt altered my idle in the slightest. it sounds awesome and seems to add a little bit of punch, i definitely recommend it to anyone.

 

Keep one of the stock screen?

 

I paid about $270 from E-Bay but it is back-ordered, so the delivery is about a month or so. I believe Vivid Racing has it for about $279 plus shipping.

I haven't noticed any difference, in my k&n.
I assume this is the newest version not the older one. More than likely it has something to do with the m.a.f. sensor not hooked up right, twisted, or missing the screen like stated earlier.
