I saw on Trussville that Mazda has been making a bunch of new stuff for the 8. They say "Mazda has listened to you and made this.." or something to that effect.

Anyway, one of those items is an RX-8 sunshade.. anyone got an image of it?

 

It is in the RX-8 accessory brochure. It's scanned in a thread somewhere around here. Top of page next to the spare tire mounting kit. It's just one of those shades you stretch across the dash. Silver with RX-8 in the middle on the exterior side. Picture looks like it is the accordian fold variety but not paper/cardboard.

 

I want one, but the Trussville site says they are on hold from Mazda. Does anyone know of a place that has them in stock?

 

Uh-oh. There's a problem with the RX-8 sunshade and Mazda is not saying anything about it. Sounds like another cover-up.

Sorry, I know, this is how rumors get started.

 

I have the sun shade. My dealer got it from another dealer for me when they found it would be backordered from Mazda - I was told that they are in short supply due to Mazda changing vendors for the shade. I have no idea if this is truth - I'm just repeating what the dealer told me.

The shade is silver on the outside, white on the inside. I rolls up from left to right and is held closed with a velcro strip when rolled up. I bought it as it exactly fits the windshield - much nicer than the after market accordian shades.

if your talking about the one in the rear window, its been out here in Japan for a few months
