DARE plates...

I'm located in PA, and I hear the new DARE plates aren't black anymore...is there any truth to this? Is it possible to find someone with an old one and transfer it? I want a black license plate!!!

Yep, that program can forget about getting any funds now that their plates aren't black...that's the only reason anyone buys them! Our PA plates are fugly! (but at least we don't have to have them on the front.)

I have one and love 'em. Have a pic of what the new ones look like? I have the old one on my car...looks great. Especially with the rotor-esque triangle on it.

While black plates are really cool (I wish I could get them), DARE has been a miserable failure. Just like Just Say No, its another education program that shoves half-truths and out-and-out lies into kids. Once they realize that most of what they were told isn't true, the kids tend to discount the rest of the message of the program.

If you're going to tell kids about drugs, tell them the facts, not just selective tidbits and urban legends.

I agree... If they had a black plate that said "Smoke 40s and drink weed" I'd put it on.

I also tried to get the dare plate for my black 8. They told me that you cant get one anymore and I could thank the drug dealers for that. Whatever that was supposed to mean.
