I originally bought a silver touring package about 2 weeks ago. It didn't have the appearance package, but the dealership assured me that I could have it within a week. Unfortunately, they weren't able to get the parts and they aren't going to be available until the end of September. I was really bummed, but resigned to waiting. I went by the dealership Sunday to see if they had any new cars in(yes, I'm obsessed, I want to see all of the colors in person). Anyway, they had a beautiful black RX8 with the appearance and rotary accent packages. It is a 6 speed grand touring with red and black interior. So I called the sales manager today and asked if I could have that car instead. I really didn't expect him to say yes, but he did! So, I took my silver one back this afternoon and took the black one home. I absolutely love it! I can't believe the dealership was so accomodating. I definitely learned a lesson today. It never hurts to ask!!

I'll try to post up some pics of the car tonight. The other 8 had 543 miles on it. This one had 295 because they did a dealer trade with some place in Jacksonville that wanted a car they had here.

 

BTW - the car has one of those wind deflectors on it. I don't like the way it looks so I'm going to take it off tonight. It just connects with some L-brackets, it doesn't bolt into the car or anything. If anyone local wants it, they can have it. I'm going to post it in the for sale section for $20, but if someone wants to pick it up, it's free.
