anybody WEST of Ontario?!

seems like the Canada forum should be renamed "Ontario/Quebec" :P

just wondering if any RX-8 owners/potentials are on the board from B.C.?

had the chance to own a silver GT with moonroof, but i want the titanium. don't know if it's still available, but give Port Moody Mazda a call if interested.

Hi jowettw,

My Canada includes BC

Welcome to the forums...there are quite a few West Coasters bombing around in here.

Why didn't you like the silver? The pics I've seen so far are pretty hot, especially the ones with the red interior. I know that seems odd, but check this one out here:

heh, thanks Deep Blue

i thought canadian's couldn't customize their interiors?!?! how did you get the silver with red interior?!

i jumped on the silver as soon as the dealer called me, but i sat down and looked at all the pictures of the RX in silver on my hard drive and then all the RX pictures i had in titanium ... i called the dealer back and told him i'd rather wait for the titanium - it speaks to me more than the silver. bit too flashy (in terms of brightness) for me i guess.

wakeech - if it's a girl driving that winning blue RX, i think she's the same girl from MPSport.net ... i'm driving a protege right now until i get the titanium RX. they have an RX-8 sub-forum there but there's not much content (not knocking it though).

That's an American car. He snarfed the picture from this thread.

This car is flashy in black.

Actually, I never referred to the car as being mine...I said that I thought the red interior looked hot with the silver exterior, and used the pic from another thread as reference.

And what exactly is "snarfing"?

ed.
snarf
/snarf/ 1. To grab, especially to grab a large document or
file for the purpose of using it with or without the author's
permission.

--> Pardon me, perfect use of the term...and I now have a new word of the day!

You can check my beauty out here...(no snarfing please):

with so little RX-8s out on the road here, i think any colour RX8 would rock! i haven't seen too many RX-8s here in Vancouver! actually i haven't seen one myself, but i know they're out there!

not getting it til september or october. by then i will be on the island and back to school.

LiQuiDLaM - have you tried tracking down an RX-8 from all the dealerships within reasonable distance? the dealership that i've put my deposit down on has a "used" titanium rx-8 available (~1000 km) - but no discount. the sales manager wanted to play with it i guess but now wants to sell it.

the dealer also said he's having a "hard time" selling the RX-8 now, but my car shopping experience has shown me that most car salesmen's advice should be taken with a kilogram of salt.

sort of, i contacted the 3 dealers closest to me! i might be calling the rest of the 604 dealerships by today or tomorrow!

which dealership is this used titanium at? know if its an auto and fully loaded? but i doubt i'd really want it, if im gonna pay full MSRP, i rather wait and get a new one wif low km so i know the car hasn't been messed with!

WestCoasters....

Was on the Island recently, and thought it was not a good place for an '8', speed limit in the south was 80k everywhere, and traffic in Victoria was brutal. I seem to remember you had good memories of Victoria, (what has become of our old friend Mr. Potato?)

Then I took a trip to Port Alberni, and on to Tisookalook (whatever!) and found the twisties in between most welcoming!
Maybe come back when I have more time.....
