Silver Hiros.

Here's a couple pics of my new rims. I'll take better ones this weekend when I have more time.

Note bad, I like.

Can you get a angle pic from the rims to see how deep the lip is?

Rims are very nice, need some appearance kit to put on. I personally don't like side skirt cuz they have problems to swap rims and crack the kit. If u are loaded, do MS on silver, it will be perfect with this rim.

Good Job

thanks guys. I'm not really a big fan of body kits personally(I do love the look, but can't justify spending so much $$$$$$ for no perfomance gain). I'll take some shots from different angles tomorrow.

From the looks of them, you got 19" rims, and you took the staggered route. I could be wrong, but I have a set of 18's so I am familiar with that model. If you purchased these new, you probably paid alot of money (18 x 8.5 rims are about $270 each retail, and quite a bit more for 19 x 8.5 and 19 x 9.5, which I assume is what you have) and didn't really get any performance gain. From what I have read about staggered setups, you probably actually lost some performance in the high speed handling. Plus, the 19" tires are more expensive, and you will have to replace them more often since they are staggered and can't be rotated to all four corners. I'm not coming down on you, I just thought your statement was a little strange considering the circumstances. Otherwise, nice job. The wheels look good. Much nicer than stock.

275/30-19 and 235/35-19 BF Goodrich KDWs = way more grip than stock therefore there is an increase in every facet of performance. Also, I have the Tein Flex coilvers on the car plus sway bars, so I can set up the handling any way I want, with absolutely no handling issues at any speed.

ps. I think the mazdapeed kits are gorgeous, dont get me wrong. It's just that I'd rather spend my money on other parts

with a staggered setup, you have more grip on the rear. so there is a slight lose of performance (in the cornering department).

Yep, I don't think I've ever seen them in silver installed. Makes the rim look striking and fits the car well.

Absolutely, increasing grip in the rear will tend to induce understeer which is why I mentioned that I have coiloverson the car, understeer can easily be dialed out by adjusting the shock damping and sway bars

I think that overall performance will be less due to the increased unsprung weight notwithstanding more grip. The coiovers will help, but if you had kept your stocks, got light weight 18"s, or gone for a slightly wider 18" tire you would have got some performance increase. I think the Hiros are pretty heavy. Hey, whatever, this has been beaten to death on here, so no need to do that more. I was checking out this post to say your car looks great! Cheers.
