Has anyone tried one of these Horsepower chips by tweaked motorsports. They claim gains of up to 20 horsepower with this piggy back chip. Its only 25 bucks is it worth the risk.

They may as well call that thing a Dorito except those are more useful. Dont buy into that crap.

 

Willsrx look on the bright side there have been members that have made posts like this after they have purchased the chip. What’s in that box is a .10-cent resister similar to the one I purchased just to make a THREAD. If your were able to install it without messing up your car the ‘ science ‘ behind it is that it will trick your car into thinking it’s colder out than it really is. The ECU will compensate by adding more fuel and in theory more fuel + more power. Thing is the RX-8 already runs fuel rich do to CAT converter issues. So putting this thing on our cars at best will make your mileage worse.
You will see things like this all over the net and you have to ask yourself if this thing works so well why doesn’t Mazda put these items on the car stock? There really isn’t any cheap HP out there so when you see something that sounds too good to be true, it is.

Just watchout cuz putting the exact same chip in a supra will add 900hp so itll blow you and your lame 750hp away!
