Angry Tire Warranty Issue **Update**

hey guys did anyone purchase the tire & wheel warranty from Mazda? Well i purchased it and was told it would cover any damage to the tire or wheel from road hazards at ANY mazda dealership. so my deal is i purchased it back home in PA and now im in CT for school. i picked up a nail somewheres and have called both local mazda dealers, town & country and mondroe and both said it would not be covered. now my dealer told me it would. so i have to go pay $27.99 to get it patched today. has anyone had any similar issues?

**EDIT**

ok so took the car in today. they said that since the nail is on the outer tire (the part that curves down) that it cant be fixed and has to be replaced. now i know i need new tires anyhow. so now im faced with this dilema, do i let them replace that tire or do i just go buy new tires anyhow?

I did not buy the tire warranty for this very reason. I had a feeling the "any" tire damage was a crock. Like when you buy an extended warranty for a portable electronic device, say a camcorder, and the sales guy promises you that any damage is covered, even from a drop. The insurance companies will not pay for that type of repair.
I hope for your sake that it does get covered. I would continue to pursue it. The issue is not so much the $28 your paying for the patch, but the fact that you are paying much for than that for something you are not getting.

You're getting screwed. I've had all four tires replaced. The first time it was for 2 nails in the back left and back right tires. The 2nd time it was for 2 screws in the back tires (thankfully after they had been rotated). There where no questions asked.
